NeuroX Pulse

Privacy Policy

Last updated

The NeuroX Pulse application has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, or visitor profiling. Ordinary website delivery and security still involve processing technical request data.

Who this policy covers

This policy describes the NeuroX Pulse website at neuroxpulse.com and its public paper feed. References to “we” or “the operator” mean the operator of NeuroX Pulse. It does not cover external journals, DOI services, or other websites you choose to visit. Contact details are at the end of this page.

Website requests and hosting

When the public site is served through Cloudflare, Cloudflare processes technical request information, including IP addresses and traffic data, to deliver and protect it. Browser-supplied request details can include the requested URL, time, browser information, and referring site. The operator may have access to hosting or security logs. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

The application does not maintain a separate visitor database or reading-history profile. It fetches the same public bibliography for all visitors; your archive-month choice is kept only in the current page and is not saved as a preference.

Cookies and browser storage

The application does not set cookies or use local storage, session storage, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting. Cloudflare security features, if enabled, may set cookies needed for those features. Their use depends on the hosting configuration; see Cloudflare’s cookie documentation.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking hosting-security cookies may prevent a security check from working. The application does not use nonessential tracking cookies or sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

Messages you choose to send

If you contact the operator by email, the operator and email provider receive your address, message, and any information you include. These are used to respond, address corrections or legal requests, and keep necessary correspondence records. Do not send patient information, medical records, passwords, or unpublished confidential material. There are no contact forms, newsletter signups, or payment features on this site.

Research metadata and AI processing

The bibliography contains publicly credited author names and publication details obtained from scholarly sources. The private curation workflow processes research metadata, permitted abstracts, and commentary using configured service providers, including AI providers. That workflow is separate from visitor browsing: the website application does not send your browsing activity or correspondence to the scientific-assessment model. Public selections contain bibliographic details, not visitors’ personal data.

Purposes, sharing, and legal grounds

Technical data is used to serve the site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect its reliability. Correspondence is used to handle the issue you raise. Where a legal basis is required, these activities rely on legitimate interests in providing a secure service and responding to requests, or on applicable legal obligations. Consent is sought where legally required for an optional activity.

Data may be handled by hosting or email providers as needed for those purposes, or disclosed when legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect legal rights. The operator does not sell personal information or provide it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This policy does not authorize unrelated marketing use.

Retention, security, and international processing

The application does not retain visitor histories. Hosting and security logs follow the provider’s settings and applicable obligations; a fixed log-retention period is not promised here. Correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations. Public bibliography and editorial audit records can be retained to maintain the archive and document corrections.

Service providers may process data outside your country. Applicable protections and provider terms govern those arrangements. Reasonable access and security safeguards are used, but no internet service or email exchange can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority. These rights can have legal limits. Contact the operator to make a request; proportionate identity verification may be needed. We do not require an account to make a request.

There is no application-level advertising or tracking preference to opt out of. Browser privacy controls and Global Privacy Control signals do not change the application’s current no-sale, no-targeted-advertising behavior.

Children and policy changes

This is a general research-information service, not a service directed to children under 13. The operator does not knowingly seek children’s personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact the operator so it can be addressed.

Changes to this policy will be posted here with a revised update date. Material changes to data handling will be disclosed before they take effect where required. Following an external DOI or publisher link is subject to that service’s separate privacy policy.
